Would it be better for my friend to get a diploma through adult education, correspondence, or a G.E.D?

Me, myself and I asked:

My friend who’s 22 recently asked me what he should do, get a G.E.D, do a correspondence diploma program, or go to the local school district and get a regular diploma through adult education. Obviously he wishes he could’ve gotten his diploma the regular way but he had some tough circumstances in life that prevented him from doing that.

I’m a 34yo adult male came from south east asia and migrated to the US 4 yrs ago. I’d like to continue my education but somehow I do not know where to start. The worst case, my last education background was in high school with lower grades. However, I have many years working experience in clerical duties. My interests is to take a business school that will lead to MBA. What should I take in order for me to materialize my dreams. I heard about SAT, do you think I should take that?
