I am teaching the guitar to little children and would like tips to keep them attentive. I teach in groups of up to 6 and some as young as 6. The issue is that unlike say the flute or trumpet, children can talk while playing guitar. Also when children are in groups they are disruptive and even the best child will cause trouble with grouped with other troublesome children. When I have to give special help to one child, the others cause trouble How do you in a half hour lesson, manage to teach someone successfully without wasting like a quarter of an hour calming the kids down?
