I am a homely girl, how do I learn to be street smart and clever?

Both my parents are very overprotective, like more than you can believe but I don’t even complain because I like being at home, I am comfortable at home and I have everything I need (my pets, tv, internet, etc) but soon I will have to move out and go to university and I am scared the world will eat me alive. My surroundings and observe my surroundings and listen to what do is just dont worry about what your asking about it.

Be careful on who you trust, and responsabilities such as bills organizing your time it will come naturally. NEVER let anyone borrow money, also if they make fun of you cuse your a homely girl then there not your freinds besides most people at age 17 and above are mature minded and wont say anything.

Talk to someone who’s been enlisted in the military. I was enlisted military and the least known fact about the military is that it has this country’s most street smart, thuggish, and low class of people you could ever meet. I was shocked by what I saw in the military.

Don’t worry! You’ll be fine and don’t let people tell you otherwise. You have all the resources to do well. You know where you’re comfortable and what you need, so you have good instincts already. All you have to do is make sure to stand up for yourself if you want to and don’t let other people take advantage of you. You can still be nice though. If people tell you you are “too nice,” explain why you are kind or just ignore them. And university will probably not require you to be totally “street smart” (depending on what area/what kind of culture there is there of course). You can grow there too.
