I have been taking spanish in high school for 4 years and my spanish speaking skills are poor at best. I really want to learn how to speak the language since i don’t want to know that i wasted 4 years of my life. How can I learn how to speak spanish?

If you can learn how to structure a sentence, you can learn any language. Focus on sentence structure.

Look, it’s not a matter of how many YEARS you’ve spent learning a language. I know people who studied English for 12 years and if they’re thrown in the US they’d get totally lost and yet, they call themselves fluent for studying for such period of time.

The thing is, how many HOURS have you ACTIVELY spent learning spanish? Have you ever practiced your spanish with some neighbors or tried to use your vocabulary to help a spanish-speaking fellow?

I was able to speak spanish in a little over a year by just acquiring some spanish-speaking friends and listening to the way they speak.

If you really want to make those 4 years worth it, you better start setting up movies to be spoken in spanish rather than English and better read a few hispanic magazines too. No big deal. It’s just a matter of how far you’re willing to be open.

Give it a try. Good luck.

The immersion plus the spanish to practice you really need to go about your daily life as learn more then find friends or even better boyfriendgirlfriend who speaks only spanish but am not native speaker and believe these were some.
The right motivation to put yourself in situation where no one speaks english this by living in spanishspeaking country with them you are with them you can do this by living in situation where you are with.
