What is the best way to learn German while on an exchange?

I’ve been on an exchange in Germany for a month now, but I feel like my German hasn’t improved a lot. I attend school - everything is in German but I don’t understand very much. What are some ways to learn faster and more effectively? Anything I should be doing while listening in class? Outside of the classroom?

    The kids in english use of english you lose about days of the first one and practice the language is to successfully learn german also if the program is.

    Erstens, **kein** Englisch! Kein Englisch im Kopf, kein Englisch im Mund.

    Du bist hier auf diese Webseite?! Warum, denn?! Um eine Sprache zu lernen, muss man mit anderen reden, nicht hinter dem Bildschirm sitzen. Kein Englisch, kein Computer.

    Brauchst du Nachhilfe? Vielleicht von einem Schueler? Oder gibt es ein Goethe Institut in der Naehe?

    Schreib alles auf! Hast du ein kleines Notizheft fuer neue Woerter? Man muss neue Woerter in den Kopf aktiv bringen.

    Und… hab ein bisschen geduld! Ein Monat ist nicht eine lange Zeit.
