A good book to learn practical English?

Can you recommend a good book to learn practical English (say, English of high school level)?
I don’t expect the book to be a collection of grammar rules but a good guide to use English practically.

    Copy right rules prevent me to recommend one. It is practical to talk and concentrate on usages.
